Several TVDCTA members competed at the Poplar Place Horse Trials on the weekend of May 10-12 in Hamilton, Georgia near Columbus. According to Debi Crowley "Poplar Place is a gorgeous facility and they always put on a first rate show."
Debi competed on Graffiti (see photo) and her Trakehner mare, Class Act III. Class Act III won the Open Novice division of about 20 horses with an incredible dressage score of 20.5 (equivalent to a 79.5%). Graffiti was 2nd in her Novice Horse division of about 20 horses and finished on her dressage score of 28.0 (=72%).
Carolyn Little competed in three events, taking third place in Open Preliminary on Go Sonny South with a score of 53.5 and third in Open Novice on CheeCheeBargain with a score of 28.5. She also competed in the Novice Horse division on Ascendin Moon and scored 70.0 for 17th place. Julia Behmer placed sixth on Super I Do in the Junior Training Rider division with a score of 47.0.
