The Tennessean Dressage ShowJune 15-16, 2002 Franklin, TN Judges: Joni Abney, Peter Lert, Sharon Poulin, William Woods The
Tennessean Dressage Show, held on June 15-16 in Franklin, Tennessee is always a
big event and TVDCTA was well-represented, with eleven different members taking
part in the competition. Several
competitors did exceptionally well in the highly competitive Open division
events. Debi
Crowley
on Class Act, took first place in the Open division of Training Level 1 with a
score of 70.000%, as well as a second place in the Open division of Training
Level 3, scoring 68.076%. She
also scored a 66.000% in the Training Level 4 class.
These
were the top three scores produced by TVDCTA members. Riding Frequent Flyer Miles, Cathy Zappe won the Open division for Second Level, Test 1 with a score of 62.894%. Diana Rose and Walk On competed in four different Open division classes, taking first in the Second Level, Test 4 competition with a score of 60.697%. Rose also took a second and two third place ribbons in Test 3 (64.324%) and Test 1 and 2.
The Amateur division competitions featured
wins by Sue Kirkpatrick, Virginia Moon, and Serena Neely. Riding
Miss Dream, Sue
Kirkpatrick won the Training Level 4 class
with a score of 63.200%, in addition to
taking third place in Training Level 1 and Training Level 2. Two
first place ribbons went to Serena Neely,
riding Puppy. Serena won the First
Level, Test 2 (62.903%)
and First Level, Test 4 (63.529%)
events and also received third place awards in the First Level, Test 1 and First Level, Test 3 competitions. Riding
Custom
Apparrell, Virginia Moon won the Third
Level, Test 1 event, scoring 58.974. She also took home
two second place ribbons, including a score of 64.444% in the Second
Level, Test 2 class. New TVDCTA member Kim Holl competed in six classes.
Riding Kalech-Shun, Kim
took second place in Third Level, Test 1 with a score of 50.256% and also
scored a 61.600% in the Training
Level 4 class riding Volte’. Debbie Hill
and Medicine Man took a third place in the Prix St. George class with a
score of 56.500%. In
the Jr./YR division, Stefan Neely took two second place ribbons.
Riding Coco, Stefan scored a very good 65.263%
