TVDA Dressage and Combined Training Schooling Show

Fifty-seven riders and sixty-three horses competed in the TVDA Dressage and Combined Training Schooling Show on July 28th at Steel Prize Stables in Madison.  Riders endured hot and humid conditions, with temperatures in the low 90’s and the heat index over 100.  

Debi Crowley on GraffitiDebi Crowley competed in four different classes and won each of them.  On Graffiti, she took firsts in the Open Training Level Test 3 (66.54%) and Tadpole Introductory 2 Combined Training (28.20, best open combined training score of the show) classes.  Riding Mighty Mite, Debi captured the FEI Two Star (64.40%) and the Third Level, Test 1 (64.36%) classes. 

Cathy Zappe, on Frequent Flier Miles, had the highest open dressage score of the show (67.71%) in winning the First Level Test 3 class.  They were also winners in the First Level Test 4 class (62.94%).

Sue Kirkpatrick and her horse Dream competed in four classes and took firsts in the Open Training Level Test 1 (61.82%) and Open Training Level Test 4  (66.80%). 

Heather Heinisch, riding Winnie, won both of her classes, the Open First Level Test 1 (60.00%) and Open First Level Test 2 (54.52%).  Julie Olson and Sailmaster took firsts in the Second Level Test 3 (63.78%) and Second Level Test 4 (57.64%) classes.

Hannah Knaebel, who had three rides in two combined training classes, scored a 29.40 on Like Skywalker in capturing the hotly contested Training A class.

Riyad Gandhy had a busy day, with six rides in two combined training classes, winning the Novice CT - Novice B class (35.50) on Lottery Ticket.  High Five competed in three different combined training classes, winning the Pre-Novice CT - Novice A class (31.50) with rider Anne Kreuger.
