TVDA Dressage Ride-A-Test and Jumping Clinic with Jim Graham

Thirty-four riders participated in the TVDA Dressage Ride-A-Test and Jumping Clinic on November 24-25 at Steel Prize Stables in Madison. Jim Graham served as the judge and clinician. A total of nineteen riders participated in the afternoon jumping clinics.
The dressage competition was relatively light, with twenty-four riders. Separate competitions were conducted over Saturday and Sunday mornings. Madiran Gooch, riding Sarsen in four classes, competed both days and compiled the highest overall score (66.32%, Intro. Level Test 2, Jr.) among the junior riders. Debi Gilbert on Royal Jabask had the highest score (66.00%, Training Level Test 4, Open) in the open classes.
Stormy weather prevailed on Saturday afternoon, forcing the jumping clinic indoors, as tornados tore through the southeastern section of Madison County. Fortunately, Sunday's weather was mild and clear, although the jumping arena was still somewhat muddy.
