Unseasonably cold weather greeted riders at the May 18th TVDCTA Dressage and Combined Training Schooling Show at Flint Ridge Farm. Following several days of rain, the dressage events were forced indoors due to the poor footing. However, the riders were undeterred and the turnout was excellent. Elaine Gibala, "R", was the featured judge for the show.

Coshow (riding Canton's Seamus) was the High Score winner in the
Introductory and Training category with an excellent score of 67.5% in her
Training 2 test. Cindy Latham on Genesis captured the High Score
award in the First Level and above category with a score of 61.79% for her First
Level Test 1 effort.
Debi Crowley (on Addisen) and Suzi Jennings (on Vespucci) each scored 33.50 in the Pre-Novice CT competition for the highest scores among open CT riders. Jennings would have duplicated that score in winning the Novice CT event, had she not lost 10 points in the jumping.
Among the Jr./YR competitors, Melanie Smith on No Tomorrow had the top dressage score (60.00%) of the show while winning the Third Level, Test 1 competition. Samantha Nicolle (riding Dover) had the next highest Jr./YR dressage test score (56.30%) in winning the Introductory 2 class. Natalie Weil (on Indian) achieved a score of 40.50 for the best score among young riders in the CT classes.
